Jane Squared vs Winter

Winter 200 points. JaneSquared 3 points.

Shesh Winter! I told you to get real & get out of town! Ah .. well, at least the snow looks pretty...

Today I'm wearing my new favorite denim top from Uniqlo. This is a great shirt that can easily transition into work wear (tuck into a pencil skirt, add a cardigan or blazer). Lucky for me, I'm keeping it casual with a great pair of leggings and my duck boots.

We can battle this winter together! Thanks for reading and have a great week!

Concert Wear: Fitz & the Tantrums

Recently, some friends and I went to see the Fitz and the Tantrums and Capital Cities in concert. Truly, this was one of the best shows I've seen in a long time. Both acts pumped up the crowed, and we even learned a few dance moves during the show. It really felt like a big party.

For this fun fest, I busted out my crazy tiger tank. It's pretty fierce for a night out of jumping and singing. I also grabbed a comfy pair of flats and some dark jeans to dance the night away.

Also, I hope you enjoyed the first feature of Menswear Monday! If you haven't had a chance -- check out G, here! Thanks for reading :).

Thailand: Night Bazaar & Thai BBQ

G - blog posin'
Later Bangkok! Our next stop is Northern Thailand to a city called Chiang Mai. We spent our first evening checking out local crafts and beautiful fabrics at the night bazaar. This market is open late with great eats, all types of meats on kebobs and various types of fresh fruit.

G and I took a break to grab some Korean/Thai BBQ close the bazaar...YUMMY!

Thailand: Tigers and the Floating Markets

Tigers in Thailand! Just about two hours outside of Bangkok, G & I were lucky enough to visit a Tiger Conservatory led by Monks. This epic visit was no easy feat (car sick Jane.. bleh!), but it was worth it! These animals were so cool and though it was a bit scary, they were beautiful!

We also visited the famous floating markets (the "Venice of Thailand") where there were a ton of textiles, fruits, vegetables and restaurants. The market was totally vibrant, loud and buzzing with tourist.

Did I happen to mention Thailand was hot, hot, hot!? Weather was high 80s, lower 90s. Good thing I found a coconut stand. So, we spent the day looking at handmade goods, and finding some solid deals. I'm totally diggin' Thailand! :)

Thailand: The Grand Palace

T H A I L A N D
G & I made it! The journey took us 23 hours of travel through Chicago and Seoul to arrive in Bangkok! You may remember that G & I traveled to Cancun last year -- a short, short 5 hours. Alas, this year we hit up the other side of the world for some adventures. Check out the packing details here!

First Stop:  The Grand Palace. This impressive and beautiful palace was the home of the Kings of Siam. We explored the grounds for hours, and visited the Emerald Buddha. We were greeted with heavy rain! However, it did not deter us and certainly did not take away for the majestic scenery.

Black Tee & Suede Booties

New booties!
No matter what season or occasion, black is always in style. I love the timeless look of black on black. This outfit is inspired by my new boots from Steve Madden. I love these shoes!

Fashion Fundamental:  Black Tee.
It's probably one of the most essential basics for any closet. Basics like this are perfect for keeping your look simple, clean and chic.

Feminine Eyelet Tank

Isn't Ailyn awesome? She does the best reviews

Today, I'm wearing a great fitting tank. This black eyelet from Gap reminds me of traditional, Mexican attire with the fit and pattern cutout in the front. I think this silhouette is particularly flattering on many shapes, and this tank is very sweet. I've also tried to pair this at work with a pencil skirt and cardigan. It has a similar effect in the office, feminine and flowy. Pieces like this are awesome because they are versatile in the office and on the weekends.

Flower Power

Snaps! It's date night :) #favorites. G and I took a stroll through town, went to a nice dinner and made an essential stop for ice cream! I'm wearing an old favorite -- a sweetheart neckline dress. This shape is one of my most favorite, and think it is flattering on almost everyone.

Now what to wear for Labor Day... and JaneSquared will be reunited! More post to come next week!

Have a wonderful holiday!
