Thailand: Tigers and the Floating Markets

Tigers in Thailand! Just about two hours outside of Bangkok, G & I were lucky enough to visit a Tiger Conservatory led by Monks. This epic visit was no easy feat (car sick Jane.. bleh!), but it was worth it! These animals were so cool and though it was a bit scary, they were beautiful!

We also visited the famous floating markets (the "Venice of Thailand") where there were a ton of textiles, fruits, vegetables and restaurants. The market was totally vibrant, loud and buzzing with tourist.

Did I happen to mention Thailand was hot, hot, hot!? Weather was high 80s, lower 90s. Good thing I found a coconut stand. So, we spent the day looking at handmade goods, and finding some solid deals. I'm totally diggin' Thailand! :)

How to Pack: Look by Look

I love visiting new places, but packing is probably one of the most arduous tasks, especially for an international trip. However, it's always worth the effort and planning for a great destination. For a few weeks "G" and I are going to Thailand on holiday.

Here is a quick preview of some looks that I'll be wearing over the trip.

Camping!

A few weekends ago, G & I went camping with friends. I have not been in years, and it was a great time. We rode bikes, boats and had s'mores. I mean.. anything with s'mores is a perfect combination. I also have to hand it to "G" -- he can make some pretty mean meals on the back on his '66 pickup truck. We ate very well with an electric hookup and a trusty skillet. Who knew you could have a delicious rueben in under 15 minutes?

Maybe the weather will hold out and we can go camping one more time... What do you think "G"?

Thanks for reading.

Sunshine & Good Deals

For some reason, I never wear yellow. It's a color that I do not gravitate towards, but found a nice eyelet top on sale at Anthropologie, so I thought I'd give it a go. I'm digging it -- so, I'll be on the lookout for more!

Also, there seems to be deals every time I open my e-mail. I see promos from Loft, Ann Taylor, B. Republic, Crew, etc. Retailers are all about Fall style. And, Target just announced Phillip Lim -- his clothes are looking chic for men and women! #PhillipLimforTarget

I've been digital "window shopping" and have been eyeing another bright number -- this Fall jacket from Banana Republic in orange. It's really cute, so I'm waiting for a good deal.

What are you shopping for this fall?

Feminine Eyelet Tank

Isn't Ailyn awesome? She does the best reviews

Today, I'm wearing a great fitting tank. This black eyelet from Gap reminds me of traditional, Mexican attire with the fit and pattern cutout in the front. I think this silhouette is particularly flattering on many shapes, and this tank is very sweet. I've also tried to pair this at work with a pencil skirt and cardigan. It has a similar effect in the office, feminine and flowy. Pieces like this are awesome because they are versatile in the office and on the weekends.
